Julia Lewing

HOLISTIC NUTRITIONIST

Julia is passionate about working with clients to address the root of their health concerns and sing food as medicine to help women bloom into their fullest potential. She believes that proper nutrition is a foundational aspect of health and values working with other practitioners in an integrative setting to optimize client care.

Her focus areas include Women’s Health, Fertility & Pregnancy, Digestive Health, Stress Support, Infant & Early Childhood nutrition. Julia is accepting new patients for in-person and telemedicine virtual care all across North America.

Julia’s path to Holistic Nutrition came from a sustained interest in health, applied academics, self-study and personal improvement.  After her own experience with soccer and rugby injuries she became passionate about taking control of her own health through preventative medicine.

Julia completed her Bachelor of Kinesiology with Distinction at the University of Alberta followed by a diploma in Applied Holistic Nutrition at the IONC accredited Institute of Holistic Nutrition (IHN) in Vancouver, BC. Her background in science and holistic healthcare offers a broad lens through which she recognizes the needs of both body and mind.

After graduation, Julia spent two years gaining experience in Tofino and Ucluelet.  She chose to move her practice back to Vancouver as city offers a strong sense of community, and proximity to the mountains, while maintaining access to surf.

Julia is passionate about food, art, and spending time in the mountains.  Her hobbies include hiking, surfing, and drawing charcoal portraits.  She loves going to live music, stargazing, and eating pistachio ice cream. In addition to nutrition, she is also a strong proponent of food sovereignty, foraging, and homesteading practices.
