Dr. Laura Nicholas,

NATUROPATHIC PHYSICIAN, OWNER

Dr. Nicholas takes pride in educating her patients about their bodies and empowering them to realize their full potential. She strives toward harmonizing science and nature by integrating fundamental scientific knowledge and modern medical research with the traditional philosophies of naturopathic medicine. This enables her to support you with a holistic and evidence-based personalized healthcare plan to assist you throughout your multiple life stages.

Her focus areas include Women’s Health, Fertility, Pregnancy, and Gynecology. Dr. Nicholas is accepting new patients for in-person and telemedicine virtual care within the province of British Columbia.

Dr. Nicholas is currently on Maternity Leave until Spring 2024. She is directing all new and existing patients to Dr. Sierra Kline. Luna's IUD Clinic is being run by Dr. Alyssa Trombley.

Dr. Nicholas supports women and their partners from preconception to postpartum to optimize fertility, pregnancy, and the growth of healthy families. She believes that in order to improve fertility, people must first optimize their individual wellness. Once the foundations of health are established in the individual, the required environment for conception is more easily achieved! She offers both individual and couples’ consultations to expedite infertility assessment and enhance both partners’ fertility. Dr. Nicholas works closely with expert Reproductive Endocrinologists and Gynecologists. She is well connected to the Vancouver In Vitro Fertilization (IVF) clinic community and refers her patients to Assisted Reproductive Technology (ART) clinics when necessary.

Aside from fertility, she supports women struggling with hormone imbalances, menstrual irregularities, genitourinary infections, pelvic pain, and sexual dysfunction. She works with her patients to alleviate stress and remove other barriers that are preventing them from achieving optimal health.

She is a proud alumna of Queen’s University, where she graduated with an Honours Bachelor of Science degree with a Specialization in Environmental Biology. She completed her four-year medical degree back in her home province of British Columbia, where she graduated from the Boucher Institute of Naturopathic Medicine, a CNME accredited institution. Prior to founding Luna Health Clinic, Dr. Nicholas previously built her practice at Evoke Integrative Medicine. In 2021, Dr. Nicholas was honoured to win Runner-Up “Best Fertility Clinic” in the Georgia Straight Best of Vancouver Readers’ Choice Awards for her expertise in natural fertility. She also works as a Key Opinion Leader for Lifelabs in the area of HPV and women’s health. She has spoken at fertility conferences, including the 4th and 5th annual Canadian Fertility Show, and been a guest speaker for Lululemon, Saje Natural Wellness, and Project Love Run.

Born and raised in Vancouver, BC Dr. Nicholas has a passion for nature, the outdoors, health, and activity. She is an enthusiastic hiker, camper, skier, and golfer, and thrives off time spent where the mountains meet the water. When she is not in the clinic, she enjoys spending her time with her husband, Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retriever puppy named Jack, and cooking, dining and socializing with her friends and family.
